Our Team
Julia is the founder of K9ease.
She works as a somatic trauma therapist and Embodied Counselling practitioner to clients, via video conferencing, all around the world.
Her interest in Safe and Sound Protocol started when searching for a solution to her own sound sensitivities and generalised anxiety.
Julia first graduated with a Fine Art degree, then bounced around unable to settle for some years. She began ground work for a tree company and loved the hard outdoor work.
Julia migrated from the UK to Australia in 2009. In her work as an arborist she founded a company. She even won the Australian Women’s Tree Climbing National title (yes, that’s a thing!) and represented Australia in the International Competitions.
She have volunteered for a local pet rescue organisation for many years, including using her tree cutting experience to benefit an animal santuary to all kinds of rescued animals.
She is step-mum and carer to three children and mumma to three fur-babies.
Ashanti is the K9ease in-house graphic designer and is part of the brand development team.
Ashanti has loved dogs her whole life spent many happy holidays running around with all her cousins’ big, beautiful doggos (that’s Aussie for dogs!).
She’s an ambassador for the Rotary Club, and a mentor to kids at a local community child care project. She has created a workshop in collaboration with a local hairdressing studio who specialize in and celebrate black and brown curly hair.
She has a background in theatre, performing, amongst other shows, in the Melbourne Fringe Festival in 2019.
She is an enthusiastic and creative entrepreneur, a prolific and talented artist, and a highly sensitive, aware and caring friend to many.
And she’s Julia’s step-daughter – lucky Julia đŸ™‚
